I think Pedro can be effective and with th edepth of our rotation and our new pen, I feel less certain, that the starter has to go 7-8 innings to win a game. Our pen will be lights out AWSOME, so a bad start from Pedro or Perez, will not cost us a game everytime. Sure, Pedro does not strike fear into the hitters like he once did, bit, HE'S PEDRO!!! I'm completely fine bringing in Pedro at a decent price. I don't see the Mets giving Pedro enough money that would preclude them from signing another player. If they sign him it will be on their terms, and If that's the case, I say go for it. We need a pinch hitter who can jack a few. Damion Easley actually was decent in that regard. I'd trade a mid-level prospect for Thames.
