In a post to his blog for 1050 ESPN Radio, Andrew Marchand says, “Whomever you talk to in baseball – today it was an MLB GM and a prominent agent – they say that Manny Ramirez
will end up with the Dodgers.”
However, Marchand adds, though he doesn’t think it will happen, he can envision Ramirez ending up on the Mets if Omar Minaya’s loses out on Oliver Perez and Ben Sheets, ‘because it would cause him to change course and look at his offense.’
Regardless, Steve Popper in the Bergen Record writes:
“Face it. No matter what Jerry says, no matter what I say, no matter what you say, Manny is not coming to the Mets. They didn’t pursue him other than a cursory look at the trade deadline last year and they have not pursued him this winter. They are going to spend some more money, but it’s not going to be on Manny.”
…got it… so, you’re telling me there’s a chance…
…actually, last night, here in case you missed it, i explained why i still believe there is a small chance Scott Boras has at least one last-minute talk with minaya about manny…
…also, i have a feeling the team may have miscalculated just how vocal their fans would be about manny… i
listened to WFAN last night from 3 am to 4 am, thanks to my asthma and a cold, and every single Mets call was about manny… over and over and over again… manny, manny, manny… i’m not saying this is a reason for the Mets to change course, not at all, they should do what they see fit, but they may want to consider how they are spinning this to the public, especially if there is any chance ramirez ends up signing a one-year deal with the Dodgers, because, if that happens, i suspect most fans are going to lose it…
By the way, yesterday, Jerry Manuel again told reporters he would like to add Ramirez to his roster.
For more on Manuel’s comments, check out the New York Post, MLB.com, the Daily News, and Newsday.

Is it ironic if I predict the emergence of nostradamus in this thread?
nice prediction. if the mets do NOT sign manny, i would like to buy a citifield brick and throw it at citifield. jk. seriously, this team only has 3 good hitters…wright, beltran, reyes…NONE of them clutch. the rest of the lineup literally stinks (except for MAYBE church). i tell you, if we dont fill piazza’s shoes with a legit clutch cleanup ribby-machine (that can preferably play LF), this 2009 offense WILL be a DISASTER….i.e. no playoffs.
You are the subject of Scott Boras’s wet dreams.
You know what I love that idea. I bought a brick as well. The day Manny signs with the Dodgers or Yankees we should have a brick throwing ceremony at Citi Field.
For some reason, I’m reminded of the Simpsons after this comment…
“And heeeere come the pretzels”
If the Mets don’t sign Manny but end up winning the NL East, can we throw bricks at you?
To paraphrase from metsfanmurph…
You know what, I love that idea. The day Mets win the division we should have a brick throwing ceremony at Citi Field where you will be tied to a lifesize cutout of Manny.
Even if the Mets sign one of Sheets or Perez, there is really no good reason to think that the Mets will win the division. I suppose the WC is more likely.
Sure if the Mets win the WS without Manny you can throw whatever you want at me.
Yeah, who needs Delgado? Heck CDOG only gives us 30+ HRS and 100+Ribbies every season, but he stinks.
Sheesh!
And he did that in only HALF a year. lol. I’m actually not too worried about Delgado next season. Not as much as Castillo and LF. Manny WOULD be nice….but Matt Holiday sounds MUCH better as a Met in 2010.
Did he give us this in 2007?
Oooh, you’re good. Just curious: does INJURY mean anything to you? Holy Mackerel Andy!!!
Do yourself a favor and look at his career stats.
make that a RIGHTY ribby-machine that can rake an mash in his sleep
Why do people encourage this guy nostradumbas s?? He offers no insight and just repeats the same thing over and over. And by the way, it’s the same guy that has posted the same stuff on the Mets homepage message board for THREE YEARS
Why do people encourage this guy nostradumbas s?? He offers no insight and just repeats the same thing over and over. And by the way, it’s the same guy that has posted the same stuff on the Mets homepage message board for THREE YEARS about Manny. He calls himself el guapo and also frequently posts about how Cerrone is an “SNY schill”. I understand people are entitled to their opinions, but to talk trash about a blog and it’s owner is hypocritical and childish…..just ignore this guy
Its like you are stalking the kid…
what’s the big deal he is entitled to his opinions.
U r prob the guy who want us to bring back Shawn Greene.
Off topic…but get better Matt!
My only concern with Manny was how he quit on Boston last year. Since it is clear (to me, anyway) that he only cares about money, I’m wondering if he would take a less guaranteed contract with incentives that could earn him more per year…. something like what Pettite got? Give him the opportunity to make $25-27 mil per year, but make him earn it. Check out his second half stats last year to see what a MOTIVATED Manny can do. I would love to have that bat in the lineup, but I just don’t want to take a chance on guaranteeing him all that money after what he pulled in Boston.
Different day and same old postings about Manny
When is it all going to end? Please sign Ollie and go get a bat … PLEASE?
Here we go again…………
I wish Manny would just sign somewhere. That way, we could either be celebrating in the streets or moving on and getting over it.
Same here. I would be happy if Manny, Ollie and Sheets signed today, just to get the market unclogged, and get past this endless speculation.
And I at this point don’t care if the Mets get 1, 2 or all 3 of them.
If they get none, Omar will make some other moves to plug holes. ANd regardless, I expect the team to be fine, and plenty competitive.
But ultimately not more than a second place team with a shot at the WC.
When are you gonna get it…. The Wilpons lowest priority is the fans. As long as they can fill the park they don’t care about what the fans want. Competitive is good enough for them. Championships and the fan don’t matter. Empty the park adn they’ll go after the best again, for a while. For now, just enough to keep it interesting.
The coupons always said that they want to be in the race in September they never said that they want to win it all
Coupons are happy building a “competitive” team…NOT a “Championship” team.
I hate those guys.
I think they care about the fans, since it is the fans that bring in the money!
somehow, the highest payroll in the NL, a brand new state of the art stadium, and a team that has been playing on day 162 with a chance to be in the postseason doesn’t quite sound like not caring about the fans.
Good point. I just cannot believe they don’t want to win it all, just like us fans. You own a baseball team and you don’t want bragging rights saying they won the WS??????
You are very naive.
Winning championships would bring in more money, which is all they care about (according to you). Wouldn’t it be logical that they want to win then?
Amen! This team has given plenty of reason
to feel disappointed as a fan during my 35+
yrs as a die-hard.This off-season however
I feel has been the worst.Given expectations,
the core already in place and the teams ability
to spend some of that new stadium/network/
.com money.Wanted Manny&Lowe after the
pen was addressed. Then would have settled
for Manny&Ollie,Then would have settled for
Abreu&Ollie and/or Garland.But now it’s
looking to me like we may end up with just
Redding&Sullivan.Commitment to excellence,
I dont think so.Commitment to winning a championship?I don’t think so! Maybe some
who haven’t been through this time and again
since the mid-70’s will want to con’t to defend
mgmt. But for me,I’ve just about had enough.
When is the first Spring Training game?
That being said, I’d like the Mets to sign Sheets. I am not looking at stats, race, or anything that Mets fans have argued about lately. The Mets need new faces/voices of players who do not understand the word “collapse.”
Well it’s clear Matt has become a mannyac(c) too!
I think Popper is 100% right. There is no way Manny is coming to the Mets. All this whining is for naught.
As for Manuel, of course he’s going to say nice things about Manny when asked about him. And of course he’d like to have a lineup with a Manny in it. Is there any manager besides Francona who wouldn’t? But that doesn’t mean he feels the Mets need him to compete or that he is lobbying Omar to get him. He was asked some questions and he answered them.
It could happen that we miss both Sheets and Ollie.
Garland to the D-Backs
Ollie to the Brewers probably won’t happen, since the GM said he wasn’t that good, but…
Ollie to the Rangers
Wolf to the Dodgers
Sheets to the Brewers. If it is late enough in the offseason, he may prefer a one year deal
StLouis may be willing to give him a shot rather than rely on a rookie for the 5th spot.
Conceivably we could lose out on all four pitchers. Then what?
We’ll have to outscore them, which Manny will help do. It probably won’t win us a sereis, but should get us to the playoffs. if we sign Manny, then expect Pedro right behind him to compete with Redding.
dont forget garcia, niese and parnell
I have Garcia slotted in at 4 behind Santana, Pelfrey & Maine.
I prefer to have Neise & Parnell eating wings in Buffalo until June or July
Good luck with that! Garcia will see alot more
time on the DL than the Mound. Omar has
apparently already given us our #4SP-and
that’s Redding.Great.Lets just hope he’s not
Duque 2.0.
I would take Sheets and Manny as choice number one. Forget everything else and the money we wasted on all those 2 mill. roster fillers could have gotten us both and within the fake budget they keep talking about. We then could have used our 3rd and 4th outfielders for what they are which are role players. Am I the only sane person in a crazy world?
Don’t you understand. They are filling the new park. They don’t need to spend more money this year. They just need to do enough to get you to come back in 2010. This year is a done good year for the Wilpons.
Absolutey!!!,Our holytrinity are happy second
place finishers! And this really has been going on Since even back when Doubleday
had a half say.The “playing meaningful games in September”comment wasn’t a one
time–oops it slipped out–mistake.I’ve heard
this a few times f/Freddy&O.Happy friggin’
seconded place finishers indeed!
This is one met fan who will “lose it” if manny signs for one year somewhere else. I suspect the investment loss the Wilpons suffered had a bigger impact than they are leading the fans to believe.
It would be nice if we got Perez and Manny but the chances of that happening are slim and none. Manny is still asking for 4-5 years at 25 million per. He’s NOT worth that. Its not the 25 million. You don’t give a guy a contract that won’t end until he’s in his 40’s 25 million a year. Now if he signs for one year with the Dodgers I would be pretty mad that we didn’t get him.
What the Wilpons should do is offer him a 2 year deal at 25mil per and a 3rd year team option. If they have to give him a 5 million buy out on the 3rd year.
Now I don’t think that would get it done but being an offer like that would show the fans that they actually care. With the new park they should be trying to make a big splash. Next year they have a good amount coming off the cap so it would only press the budget this year.
I disagree. I think there should be a Manny story posted every hour, so maybe just maybe the Wilpons will get the idea. Remember in 98 when they weren’t going to go after Piazza but there was such an outcry by the fans that they were forced to act. Well I am hoping this happens again.
This is all on the Wilpons because the manager, general manager, and the face of the franchise all want this guy, along with the vast majority of the fans.
You are right on. The Wilpons are trying not to raise the payroll and they claim it has nothing to do with the money they lose which we all know is a lie. I love the Mets but the Wilpons have to be the dumbest people alive. The Mets do need SP and they will take care of that. After the SP is taking care of signing Manny will make them a lot more than 25 million a year(or at least the first year). They will sell out every game this year, sell out on Manny jerseys, bobble head dolls, etc. The merchandise sales alone will pay for most of his contract. Those sales will slow down and not be as high next year but there are big contracts like Delgado coming off the books so they will be more than fine.
Perez 10 million a year
Manny 25 million a year
Winning the World Series for the first time since 1986…….PRICELESS!!!
Manny-25 Million, no Ollie, Garland for-5-6 Million, and Pedro for 4-5 Million. Championship!!!!!!!
My first choice? Manny … My second choice? Abreu.
Manny because he can flat out rake against any pitcher in any situation. Abreu? He takes his walks, steals bases, is a good contact hitter (a good guy to play hit and run with) and has some pop.
Of course if the Mets strike out with everybody I will still root for the team but I’d hope they consider it.
I loved Mike Piazza, but that is not a rational argument because how many World Series titles did we win with Piazza? Pitching and defense wins World Series titles. Breaking the bank on Manny guarantees nothing. Meh.
How many did we win with Oliver Perez? Wagner? Manny would give the Mets a better chance of winning just like Piazza did. Nothing is guarenteed but getting Rameriz gives the Mets a better chance.
Besides pitching and defense, hitting with runners in scoring position is another thing a team needs to get into the playoffs. Not everyone is good at it but we know Manny is. That’s why I say Manny is my first choice and Abreu would be my second.
Dunn would probably kill more rallies than start them that’s why he’d be my third choice because he still has a high OBP. and 40 homeruns.
Bottom line prediction:
We will sign OP 3/33 with an option year. Take one reasonable sniff in Manny’s direction and he will sign with the Dodgers. We will hope that Tatis or Murphy will spark again and go to war. Omar will then spend the first three months of the season waving his chips around for an impact OF. Holliday?? Maybe. So goes the ‘09 season. Second place finish to the Phil’s and a wildcard spot.
So let me get this straight, Mets fans who call WFAN from 3am – 4am on weeknight are ranting about Manny? SHOCKING
Well Xavier, I do think it is shocking that Fur–so and Nost’s parents let them stay up that late……
It’s the same rabid 10% of Met fans screaming about Manny Manny Manny on this blog and on WFAN. It is getting tired. The result has been that out of sheer boredom I have visited the other Mets blogs and ESPN radio. And, you know what, there is some serious talent out there. Thank you Matt for stoking this no new news lets repeat the old news about Manny fire, because it has opened up an entirely new world to me. I am no longer addicted to this site checking every two hours. I’m now down to once each weekday morning. I’m cured. Thank you. And, good luck with the Manny thing. Meh.
I’m getting Santana like vibes here.
Everyone boohooing the Mets chances to get him and look where he winds up.
Not saying I expect it to wind up the same way.
But with the Santana situation, we were openly pursuing him. With manny, the FO is just saying no. That’s the difference.
The problem I see is that as Mets fans, we see the Yankees waist little time to address their needs by signing the top two pitchers and position player. Yes they need a CF, and possibly a backup catcher, but they’ve pretty much addressed their needs.
Then the Mets go out and take care of the bullpen problems but haven’t addressed our hitting. They haven’t signed the big SPers and bats, although they have done some smaller moves that will make a difference.
So, maybe we should realize we’re not the Yanks, not get our hopes up and be thankful we do have some All-Star players and a competitive team.
what’s up with the comments section? It’s been a few days like with the same problem already.
Bottom Line…we need manny ramirez!!! …I’m tired of how the Mets treat themselves….I remember when Vladimir was a FA and we vaguely entertained the idea to bring him in….he signs with the Angels and eventually wins a WS…..Lets face it – Manny’soffense changes the dynamic on how pitchers approach our entire lineup…The Mets offense will choke again with this same lineup …I guarantee it…the pitching depth…Ollie is not the solution…he’snot consistent…I’ll take Redding’s start over Ollie’s…the bullpen is stronger obviously than last year but I expect the same results as far as wins and loses if we don’t get Manny.
I could not agree more. Pitchers do pitch differently to a lineup that Manny is in.
Is Manny’s bat worth his attitude and lazy behavior once he does not get his way? He’s a friggin child. He will be to the Mets what T.O. is to the Cowboys. A cancer…and this is coming from a (New Jersey) Cowboys fan.
You cannot be more wrong. TO is a cancer to a team. Manny is a winning baseball player that is a goofball. But the results are the guy wins. In 10 of his 13 seasons as an everyday major league player, he has been in the playoffs.
agreed
If Manny’s bat even comes close to what it is was last year? Um, yes.
No offense, but you are sadly mistaken my friend.
Hey paulaecinc, If the Mets don’t get Manny…I’ll join you throwing my shea seats through the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
It just doesn’t make any sense to not have any interest in this guy. He is EXACTLY what they need offensively. Blows my mind.
Manny added to Mets gives us Murderers Row. End of story.
Does ManRam really want to end his career w/ LA? Weak division and not a really strong ball club in its own right. ‘Course if it’s all about the $ he could just play for DC. Dunno…
At least Jerry is calling Jeff Wilpon out on his BS comments…the baseball people dont want Manny….yeah right…..
At least we cant blame Jerry for being very clear on what his position is…..GET HIM!!!!!
Does Jeff and ownership really think fans are that dumb? The reason you don’t want Manny is because he costs too much AND that the team does not want to take any heat if he flakes out.
If you are the Mets, you HAVE to get this guy…this is a down market to get one of the best hitters of his generation to fill a huge hole in the lineup and left field. The Mets would down right scary with Manny + the new bullpen additions. The heck with Perez…he is only reliable 1 out every 10 days after you account for that half of his starts are worthless…
if Manny signs a 1 year deal with the Dodgers, i will not spend a cent at Citifield.
Why do we compare Mets to the Yanks? It’s not like Mets front office doesn’t try to put a good team.
The difference in Salary between Yanks and Mets are about 60 mil. I’m pretty sure that Yanks revenue stream compared to Mets revenue stream is a lot greater than 60 mil.
So you don’t think Mets haven’t spent enough? What about Beltran, Delgado, Johan, KRod, and on and on…
I would love for Omar to sign Manny too, but the reality is that they need to address pitching first.
Buster Olney reporting that Bobby Abreu is now willing to take a one year contract.
Look at it this way: yes, ideally the Mets need another front line starter more than they need a run-producing outfielder. But look at the question of value for the investment:
Who will contribute more over the course of the year, Perez, a starter with a career 4.39 ERA, more than 4 walks per 9 innings, and a losing record; or a future Hall of Famer, nearly .600 career slugging, .314 career BA, perennial MVP candidate?
Trust that the combination of young arms and Garcia can hold the rotation together. Manny will tear up Citi (which, if you read the previous posts carefully, sounds like it’ll be a homer park.)
Matt if Manny signs a 1 year deal or a 1 year with an option this website will overload.
My prediction Matt Holiday is a Met by the trading dedline this year.
I think we are in agreement in that until a particular free agent signs with another team, there’s always a “chance” of signing that free agent.
This article does not reflect that Manny would be a happy camper in NY — if he would even want to come here in the first place:

Bad in Boston, he has been no Dodger dog
By T J. Simers
September 28, 2008 in print edition D-2
SAN FRANCISCO – For the last two months he has been the difference maker for the playoff-bound Dodgers as both hitter and clubhouse goof.
But the question still needs to be answered: Does Manny Ramirez deserve an acting award in an effort to get one more big contract, or is this baseball manna from above as he appears?
“Every day I thank God I came here and had the chance to show people who I really am,” he says. “The guy you see here – that’s who I am.”
Sat down with Ramirez on Saturday for a couple of hours at the Dodgers’ hotel to talk about his future, dogging it in Boston, and his reputation as a flake.
Until now, he hasn’t had much to say about Boston, what went wrong, and what lingering impact it might have in shaping opinions of him as a free agent.
“The first time I stepped foot in Boston, I said to myself, ‘Whoa.’ I told Pedro Martinez, ‘Damn, man, I just want to get traded and get out of here; this place is not me.’ I was unhappy for eight years in Boston but still put up great numbers.”
He signed a contract with Boston for $160 million, a deal with options that could’ve swelled to $200 million. And he was unhappy – so unhappy he walked away from $40 million over the next two years.
“Baseball in Boston is like a Sunday football game, but played every day,” he says. “We lose in L.A., I go to breakfast and people say, ‘Well, you’ll get them tomorrow.’ In Boston, it’s ‘Hey, what’s going on, the Yankees are coming.’
“It’s just a different atmosphere. The fans in Boston got your back no matter what, but I’m talking about the people who write all this bull because it means so much to them. If your happiness depends on Boston winning or losing, you have to get a life.”
Many of the Red Sox writers grew up rooting for the team, and for that matter, most baseball writers are a serious lot who believe it’s their a$$ignment to protect the game.
For someone like Ramirez, who doesn’t always appear to take the game seriously, he’s going to pay the price in reputation.
“There’s no doubt about that,” says Manager Joe Torre, who after two months is now convinced Ramirez is just a fun-loving guy often misunderstood.
“I’ve been impressed by his work ethic, and one thing I’ve learned, I didn’t know how much he cares for other players,” Torre says. “And that’s not something that can be put on.”
He brought an energy in L.A. to the stadium and clubhouse not seen in some time, but in Boston he stopped talking to the media, graduating from funny guy to malcontent.
“I would bring my kids to the park and I want my kids to be kids, but there’d be people trying to interview them. That’s so stupid,” Ramirez says. “I’d go to the parking lot after the game and 20 people I didn’t know would be offering food, CDs and things – then wanting something in return.
“Here the game ends, I go to the elevator, my car and no one bothers me.”
Things went so sour in Boston, the team insisted on medical tests when he said he could not play. He didn’t always run hard, and there was suspicion he struck out on purpose.
“I love to hit, to compete and would never do that; that’s just people looking for stuff,” he says, while admitting he now runs everything out in L.A., “and I don’t even have to think about it.”
That suggests he wasn’t running everything out in Boston, and while he tries to explain, he’s interrupted. There’s no explanation for such behavior after signing a contract and being paid $20 million a year to give his all.
“You’re right,” he says. “You’re right.”
He wants to leave Boston behind, but a few weeks back Curt Schilling felt it necessary to let everyone know Ramirez is no team player. Funny, some say the same about Schilling.
“I don’t wish him anything bad, although it did make me madder and play harder to show everyone who I am,” Ramirez says. “I don’t disrespect or takes shots at anyone. I don’t want someone going to one of my sons and saying your dad is a punk and talks bad about people behind their backs.”
By every other account, Ramirez was the consummate team player in Boston until the end when he became desperate to leave.
“Just let me be happy someplace else,” he says, the message intended for Boston. “I’m against the clock.”
He’s 36, four or five years remaining in a Hall of Fame career, “and I just want to play baseball and go home. That’s all I have ever wanted to do.
“In many ways I’m like my mom, who doesn’t curse, is always laughing and having fun. I strike out three times, and while I’m upset in my mind, I don’t show it. I just tell myself I will come back the next day and go three for four.”
The Dodgers were lifeless before he arrived, and “I don’t think we win the division without him,” Torre says.
And now every teammate is a pal, Ramirez making a point to pay respects to Jeff Kent. And every day someone loses a piece of clothing from his locker, Ramirez’s crazy idea of fun, although Kent doesn’t seem to be missing anything.
“People think I don’t take this seriously, but then why am I up early every morning working with the strength coach? I’m just playing around to keep everyone loose. When I was in Cleveland I asked a sportswriter if I could borrow $50,000 to buy a motorcycle. He wrote it like I was serious.
“It’s just great here; I don’t feel like I’m in a cage. The fans in L.A. are unbelievable – never in my 16 years have I received such a reception.”
Still easy, of course, for those who know only Ramirez’s reputation to shy away from endorsing his return, but as entertaining as he makes the game, if you believe what he has to say, how can you not bring him back?
And I believe.

great find. i’m on the manny bandwagon for sure. but the article brings up a good point. I think a few years ago Peter Gammons talked about manny wanting to go to the west coast
I don’t think there is any doubt the Mets will have a good enough team to get to the playoffs.,
This whole Manny situation is dangerous for Omar and the Pons.
Rationale= the fans are already upset and frustrated with this team for the last two years, and if the team fails to make the post season again, especially if its b/c we can’t get a big hit in a big spot I believe (i know i will) us fans will blow up at Omar and ownership for not singing manny. This venom will manifest itself in the number of season tickets purchased for 2010 dwindling to nothing, and could signal the beginning of the end for Omar
I was on the verge of buying season tickets a couple weeks back, but my budget got the better of me. I can honestly say that if the mets had manny I easily would of clicked “purchase” and worried about my budget later
By the way………….Aaron Heilman is close to being traded to the Cubs.
The Mets Strategy will probably play out this way:
Ultimately they want to make the post season and obtaining both Perez and Ramirez would be the way to guarantee it immediately.
Unfortunately both Perez and Ramirez are represented by Scott Boras.
For now the Mets need to remain silent on Ramirez because if Boras even has an inkling that the Mets were considering opening their wallet for Ramirez, he’ll hold out for Perez to get more.
Since the Mets and Perez had to go to arbitration last year and Perez won, there may still be some bad blood as far as the Mets are concerned and this is the way to “make it back”, by holding out on offering Perez more money.
Buy the Perez deals has to be done before Ramirez even comes up in a discussion.
Unlike Perez, Ramirez won’t come at a discount.
Ultimately, once the Mets sign Ramirez, they’ll have to sign Martinez, if anything … to keep Ramirez in line and motivated to show up and play every day
Just a thought …
by the way who shot kennedy
Im planning on throwing my Shea Seats through the Jackie Robinson rotunda if we dont get Manny.
You are SO right. But it just gets annoying…I understand he is just like Fur–so/DWrUncl was, a lonely little guy getting off on drawing so very much attention by being so contrary….but it is so irritating to see the SAME negative drivel every day. And many of us do go for the bait, when you are OF COURSE so right.
Thanks for the wakeup call—I will try harder to ignore Nost and his silly brethren of negativity.
Priceless mental pic you just painted for me.
Comment of the DAY! :-D
Since moving back to NYC I noticed an unfortunate tendency of the Mets to draw the type of fan who revels in negativity. If the team does something right, it’s luck at best; if they do something wrong, it’s “typical Mets/Wilpons/Omar”
I agree, and it is very disheartening….and you know what? If wewin 100 games and then lose the WS, these folks will be whining and complaining that we did not do enough…..
The Mets front office usually doesn’t do enough. It is very rare that the Mets have a complete team.
It is very rare when anyone has a complete team.
I think it only happens in fantasy baseball.
You don’t need a “complete” team to win a WS.
Buster Olney is reporting that Bobby Abreu is now willing to take a one year contract.
I wish I had a complete team in fantasy baseball..
Manny adds more wins to the team than what we have now and the only negative effect it has on the future of our team is it costs us a 3rd round draft pick…
No, but you need a good enough team to get to the playoffs to even have a shot.
Abreu is looking good right about now then…
