According to Kyodo News, the Blue Jays signed Japanese free-agent reliever Ken Takahashi to a minor-league deal.
In December, NPB Tracker said the Mets were the front-runners to sign Takahashi, who was was 8-5 with a 3.50 ERA last season for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.

More money saved!
Yawn.
Right as usual, fongul and gipper!
It is more excellent news for the pitching staff that we did not sign this guy!
In other news, I’m eating an orange…Maybe Omar had this guy ahead of Sheets too.
I bet this guy walks less batters per 9 innings than bullpen-killer Oliver Perez.
the guy is also 40 years old. He had a 3.50 ERA in Japan, what do think think the hitters here would do to him.
I like the ollie signing, we need him. we couldnt sign sheets without signing ollie. NOW we can sign sheets because we have more depth.

wow!!
ollie has not signed yet. so dont get your hopes up just yet
Niehter has sheets, but that rotation does look very good.
on paper usually things look better than we wish them to be. but it would be a great begginning if they all remain healthy. we could defenetlly win 90.
Eh, this guy seemed like he might get a fair share of outs. But other than that. I doubt it’s a big loss. But I always think to wonder how other teams get guys to sign for minor leage deals that never seemed to be possible considering their player status.
