thats funny, either my first post never posted, or my first post was deleted by a funny moderator, when I had misread one of the sentences and was questioning what it said..now it looks like I just said I can’t read….

      I guess thats humorous :)

ME TOO!! I can’t wait to see the faces of Gary, Keith and Ron!!

I like Kevin and all.. but would it be possible to get a hot girl in there instead of Kevin?

      • Lidge=Mitch Williams says:

        Bring on the eye candy!

      • blains2008 says:

Julie Alexandria is a big Mets fan. Is she still around?

      • oleosmirf says:

nothing is more annoying than these women interviewers who couldnt tell a football from a baseball who ask the same stupid questions like “How do you feel about hitting that game winning homerun?”

if I wanna check out some hot girls i’ll go up a few channels…

      • dave27 says:

Speaking of Ron, and eye candy…was seated near him at the Knicks game last night, and if the girl he was with was his wife…

        Nice work, Ronnie.

Imagine Difelice turns out to be an awesome manager, makes it to the majors and dominates. They say guys who weren’t that good as players sometimes turn out to be awesome managers/coaches.

    News on the AP

“NEW YORK (AP)—Reliever Pedro Feliciano and the New York Mets agreed Friday to a one-year contract worth $1,612,500 and avoided salary arbitration.

The 32-year-old left-hander was 3-4 with a 4.05 ERA and two saves in 86 relief appearances last season. After earning $1.04 million last year, he had asked $1.95 million in arbitration and had been offered $1.35 million.”

  7. danimal says:

how about signing abreu one yr 8.5 mil….trade church, tatis and niese for jermaine dye…..

    reyes
    beltran
    wright
    dye
    delgado
    abreu
    pudge
    SP
    castillo

    nasty lineup

    • reillys5 says:

i guess when omar said no more major moves, you took that as signing bobby abreu trading for jermane dye and signing pudge……….lol some met fans man….

      • Another Typical Mets Fan says:

If Americans accepted everything that was told to them at face value we’d still be a colony. Ny’ers especially don’t like to accept what doesn’t sit right with us. Where are you from?

      • Another Typical Mets Fan says:

NEVERMIND!! SHUT UP YOU COMMIE SLUDGE!!

    • PedroMANIA says:

      Funny.

Trade Tatis who was just a free agent? Besides the fact that they could have signed him themselves if they wanted to… he can’t be traded until midseason since he was a FA.

      Hilarious.

  8. danimal says:

whoever thinks pudge does not become mets catcher prior to opening day is nuts

  9. Brock Lesnar says:

Mike is a longtime friend of mine – he is a true athlete and should be a great manager for you guys. Best of luck.

  10. danimal says:

i am messing around….(though i do see us inviting pudge) and signing him to about 1.5/year with chance to earn more…i was definitely (and still would want to be) an avid manny supporter….but it seems like that’s a pipe dream at this point….i would really settle for pedro to come back….he is still the man

  11. steadyeddie says:

    In a whining Andy Rooney voice;
“Is it just me or does this new 2009 NY Mets team look an awful lot like the hairball 2008 squad?
Golly, I’d just like to see some grit and clutch where there was choke and knee buckling.
Well at least they didnt call it the Art Shamsky Rotunda…”

  12. oleosmirf says:

its ok guys Murphy/Tatis will combine to hit .280 20 HR 80 RBI

Pelfrey, Ollie and Maine are all going to win 15 games and pitch to an ERA under 4.

furthermore Wright and Reyes will finally learn how to hit in the clutch and Church and Castillo will stay healthy

I don’t see why anyone can be skeptical about this season…

    • metsin080910 says:

I think Murphy is going to have a solid season and Pelfrey will emerge as a top-of-the-rotation type pitcher.

  13. ineedhelp says:

Luis Castillo slap grounders to shortstop …..

  14. MetsfaninTX says:

Dude – don’t you remember Julie Donaldson
a couple of years back. She was absolutely
beautiful and her interviews weren’t bad either.

    • Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 says:

I sure remember Julie D, and as a Net fan I miss her on their games too….I also remember Jose enjoying pouring champagne over her head (and blouse) in the postgame celebration after winning the division in 2006.

She was indeed excellent to listen to AND to look at.

Rusty Jr. had some good thoughts on that too…..

  15. lil pelf says:

STEEEEEEEEEROIDS, STEEEEEEEROIDS. The first game against the yankees is gonna be fun.

  16. mouserdz says:

A-Roid did roids in 2003 SI is reporting

  17. Jmiles says:

Very happy that Mike will be in another role with the Mets other than catching. Happy he has a gig but watching him catch for the Mets was brutal. He had a long but non distinguished career

  18. phukthephills says:

    A ROID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is the greatest news of the offseason!!!!!!!!
    WOOOO

  19. phukthephills says:

my prediction for the rotation this year is
    johan – 23 wins
    pelf – 17 wins
    ollie – 14 wins
    maine – 15 wins
    niese/garcia – 11 wins

i think pelf is gunna be a beast, ollie will be like his usually is….but a little better than last year, just cause hes older and has a new pitching coach for a full season (he was much better when they fired peterson), maine is gunna have a bounce back year (he was injured for almost all of last year and imo played through most of it)….niese/garcia is gunna be the 5 spot and are gunna be decent….redding to the pen

  20. mouserdz says:

Someone needs to trademark “A-Roid” and make a dime for all the shirts they’ll be selling outside of Fenway this year.
