rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:11 pm

lol sorry but my time has come and gone – but mmmmm love my ribs lol

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:15 pm

Freddy and Jeff should open a Rusty’s Restaurant in the new park, and it can go right next to Mo Vaughn’s Deli. Of course, Mo’s will always be closed, as he will generally eat all of the inventory…..

BTW, checked out Stadium Page–wow, cannot believe it is really gone…surreal is right.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:17 pm

is there a falcones falafel bar also lol – i know i know he’s italian lol

Clem Kadiddlehopper February 15, 2009 at 4:27 pm

Let’s hold a séance and sign Harry Chiti.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:28 pm

or danny frisella – he was left handed lol

CannonBoy13 February 15, 2009 at 1:32 pm

Looks Beautiful. Wish I was there in the warmth instead of the cold here in Jersey.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 2:32 pm

agreed but the warmer days are just around the corner

ProudMetFan February 15, 2009 at 3:18 pm

I was thinking the same thing. Looks fantastic.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:23 pm

i like putz man – i mean i think he can be like a more dominating version of turk wendell – hey kong u did time in seatle is he eccentric?? btw i watched man vs foos and they were at the red brick grill or something like that – the burgers made my mouth water lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:23 pm

*food

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:30 pm

I liked Turk, but JJ blows him away….high, rising fastballs in the mid-to-upper 90s, and then splitters which sink crazily too…if he is 100% healthy, and I am sorry for those who have seen me write this 849 times, he is going to be as good or better than KRod and an instant crowd favorite…he is kind of nutty, as evidenced by him getting Kevin Burkhardt in the face with a pie on TV during the Hot Stove show last week…he is big and strong, throws serious smoke, is fearless, has a serious sense of humor, and is PERFECT for this team.

And it must have been Red Mill Burgers! They are awesome, and I lived about a mile from the one in Phinney Ridge in Seattle and went there a good number of times…really, really good burgers…..

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:32 pm

very cool man – btw what ever happened to kim thayell after soundgarden – an another thing FORCED ENTRY SHOULD REFORM !!! and on that note – mingus rules lol

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:39 pm

First off, Mingus most certainly rules….we listen to him all the time, and sell lots of charts of his tunes…ever see the film Mingus 68/Mingus in Greenwich Village? Absolutely nutty…he is in his apartment, completely surrounded by piles of everything you can imagine, drinking a gallon jug of wine, and playing with a rifle, while talking to an interviewer…at the end, he gets evicted, and the lasts scenes are the police taking him away…crazy, and vintage Mingus.

Good question about Kim Thayil—-all I know is that he has played on tracks for the Presidents and Dave Grohl, but I do not think he has a serious/permanent gig. He and Matt Cameron were kind of more serious guys and less rock star/partier types than a lot of the other Seattle bands…I would guess Kim probably enjoys life, and travels, and enjoys being a wealthy late-40ish retiree.

One funny thing about him is he would appear in the Seattle comedy show Almost Live, and they had this segment called The Lame List, where Kim and the singer from Panic and other metal guys would all listen to an announcer saying a list of things, and them shout lame and shake their hair in unison….

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:44 pm

yeah mingus’ final days were tragic and thayell was a underrated guitarist – just surprised that he quit the buissness altogether – while his partner cornell truely sold out and i remember that show on comedy central !!!- bill nye was in it my friends always laughed at the sluggy films – plus joe satriani’s surfin with the alien was the opening theme to the show

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:49 pm

Bill Nye the Science Guy! And Mind Your Manners With Billy Kwan was good too….

I am out for a while today Rusty, and my bro and I are going to a music conference in Chicago this week, so if you don’t see me answering you, it is just because I will have little spare time this week on the net….

But have a great week, and JJ will be our favorite Met very soon!!

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:52 pm

no prob say hi to albert king and the guys in zeotrope and cyclone temple lol

LeiterMilnerFasterStronger February 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm

That third guy from the left? Shoulder’s flying WAY open. Come on, get your head out of your sphincter, third guy!

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 2:33 pm

was that victor zambrano or jose liMA?? lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 2:34 pm

BTW JUST WENT TO STADIUM PAGE AND THE HAD RECENT VIDEO FROM YESTERDAYS DEMOLITION – DAMNED THAT IS SO SUREAL – sorry bout the caps

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:13 pm

i cant find a putz or murphy jersey anywhere on the mets.com site – yet they still have loduca and wagner jersey’s there!!- btw no k-rod yet either

ProudMetFan February 15, 2009 at 3:21 pm

Cant you just go MLB.com and personalize a jersey? Just put on Rodriguez and # 75 Or even make it your own and put K ROD.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:25 pm

i know pmf – im just tired of the mets putting out only the big star jersey’s – i want to go in and buy a murphy jersy or a putz jersey or a green jersey at modells or werever for 79- 99 buck ya know what im sayin !! lol

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 3:40 pm

Reyes batting third is wrong.

1)2B – Luis Castillo
2)SS – Jose Reyes
3)3B – David Wright
4)1B – Carlos Delgado
5)CF – Carlos Beltran
6)RF – Ryan Church
7)C – Ramon Castro or LF – Tatis
8)LF – Daniel Murphy or C – Schneider

We have arguably the best lead off hitter in the game, and because we have no Manny he should bat second….as I sit here listening to Manuel De Falla’s – La Vida Breve….I should be listening to cheers resounding through out the tri-state area of Manny is a Ny Met.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:48 pm

look i am happy with the way my team in constructed right now – and if the lf platoon fizzles – then you have the trade deadline to get a carlos lee or a holliday – but ill tell u something – i’d be happy with murph and the magic tones at 1b and f-mart in lf (if ready) next season – we dont always gotta go after the big name f.a’s some times the answer is down on the farm

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:56 pm

I totally agree Rusty….if FMart and the Magic Tone work out, then our core could include Reyes, Wright, FMart, Pelf, and Murph, all Met homeboys.

After all, the 4 Yank title teams were anchored by homegrown guys too, Jeter, Bernie, Posada, Mariano, and Pettitte….that is a great way to go.

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:00 pm

The Mets don’t have enough offense with Delgado in the line-up. He’s not going to be around much longer, and we need his 38 home run bat in the line-up. Time runs nigh, they need a bat and they have everything in place. The TIME IS NOW. MAKE A MOVE!!!!

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:00 pm

so true – and it can allow us to go after oswalt or halladay in a trade – (so we can afford their contracts) if need be – cuz i dont think garcia nor redding will be in this rotation next year

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:05 pm

are you clinically retarded? What makes you think we’re going to get Halladay or Oswalt?! Seriously, my God man….you’re like a retard.

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Hey AnotherTypical/Jerk–with what you have been posting on here the last couple of weeks, including 5-team, 84 player trades which you apaprently take seriously, PLEASE do not call others retards, especially Rusty, one of the coolest and best contributors on here…

Seriously man, stick to typing SIGNMANNY
and leave the insults to others….

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:11 pm

I was leaving the insults to others…

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:18 pm

clinically retarded lol madoff if you didnt have a hard-on you wouldnt have a friend

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:22 pm

That’s why I stay hard…

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:24 pm

ok we have our first raven reference (heavy metal band from new castle u.k from the 80’s)

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:29 pm

To quote the Raven….On and on and on and on….

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:32 pm

wow we have something in common madoff lol – my friend managed raven in the 80’s

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:38 pm

yeah, he did a bang up job….

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:42 pm

not his fault that atlantic records wanted a more commercial album then after wacko left they tried to go heavy again on nothing exceeds like excess – but the hardcore loyal fans were gone – met the gallagher bros – nice gus – and their drummer was in pentagram

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 3:57 pm

Would you trust the safety of your child on an if?

Holliday isn’t going anywhere, and if he did it’d cost an arm and leg…kiss Fernando Martinez goodbye. Carlos Lee costs 18 million per, and would cost prospects to get. I feel Lee is somewhat a caustic personality, and not the easy going/chemistry inducing type Manny is. I’m glad you’re in a kissing mood, because you’re getting cked.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:01 pm

madoff methinks u be fi-ya m-ini-a-y-a

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:07 pm

I’ve never used the handle fiya minaya or any derivative….

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 4:13 pm

“the easy going/chemistry inducing type Manny is”

And you are mocking the thoughts of others and calling OTHERS retards??

WOW!

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:18 pm

lol, hmmm….easily excitable and easily astonished…DO YOU WANT TO GO PET THE RABBITS GEORGE!!??

Manny’s bat is titanic no doubt, but he brings a varied list of intangibles along with him…amongst those a$$ets in my opinion is his jocund frivolity….he can live and let live…all while taking care of business on the field…

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:19 pm

nice of mice and men reference madoff – i wouldnt take you as a steinbeck kinda guy – more like jackie collins

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:21 pm

ignore him kong – he is the rey ordonez of this site – always quick with a commest (rey with his hands – but a lack of power with his mouth – rey with the bat ) lol

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:25 pm

and I take you and brock as Brokeback mountain types of “guys”…..

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:30 pm

lol that was funny madoff more power to you – but we all know the frank zappa song “bobby brown goes down ” was written for you “i can take about a hour on the tower of power as long as i gets a little golden shower” u like that doncha caligula

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:35 pm

see, I was just joking, but now that you’ve confirmed, you sicken me. Go root for the yankays, they love people like you…lol, know what I just realized? No matter what you call your type, it’s considered an insult…..know why? Because it’s a disgrace…in the literal sense.

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:40 pm

what cuz im a FRANK ZAPPA FAN i cant be a die hard mets fans – just get into yer a-rod jammies and go nitey nite – its time for yer nap gargantua – and one more thing STOP BREATHING IN MY CUP!!! (CLA$$IC bugs bunny)

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:43 pm

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:47 pm

yeah ok Liberace….were you the one who raped Roberto Alomar in Mexico and gave him AIDS?

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 4:49 pm

lol, you and Brock RAPED ROBERTO ALOMAR!!

Clem Kadiddlehopper February 15, 2009 at 4:57 pm

I have a recording of Victoria de los Ángeles singing the role of Salud. I also have her singing the role of Cio-Cio San in Butterfly. Although my favorite Cio-Cio San is sung by Leontyne Price. What the h-e-l-l am I writing here? :)

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:50 pm

as per mlbtr
SUNDAY: Jayson Stark says that a reunion between the two sides is becoming more likely. He quotes Braves GM Frank Wren as saying:

“I think we’ve made some progress,” GM Frank Wren told ESPN.com Sunday. “I think there’s a true desire on both parties to get something done.”

- let glavine pitch for the egg in shoe braves – he’ll be retired by may lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:05 pm

LeiterMilnerFasterStronger February 15, 2009 at 4:19 pm

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:37 pm

guys its time to cede the n.l east once again to the phiths
as per mlbtr
Scott Lauber reports that the Phillies have signed Miguel Cairo to a minor-league deal with an invite to Spring Training.

Cairo, 34, hit .249/.316/.330 last year for the Mariners. He can serve as a back-up at nearly any position the Phillies could need if he makes the team. Cairo saw time at all four infield positions, left field, and right field in 2008.

ITS OVER JOHNNY !!! ITS OVER !!! lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 2:32 pm

good afternoon boyz and girls its time for the lazy sunday edition of “this day in mets infamy with rusty” so here we go
first off happy b-day to reliever Chuck Estrada (1938)
Barry Jones (1963) – played for us in 92 but was abducted by bobby jones – never to been seen again
Transactions:
San Diego Padres signed Bobby Jones of the New York Mets free agent on February 15, 2001. and he played 2 more years til retireing – also best under the radar pitcher since ed lynch

Detroit Tigers signed Vic Darensbourg of the New York Mets free agent on February 15, 2005. who?

New York Mets signed free agent Brady Clark on February 15, 2008. he played a couple of games for us untill he was suc-ked into the black hole that also claimed d.j.dozer and herm willingham

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:18 pm

I am sure Al Shirley and Robert Stratton are down in that black hole, striking out frequently.

Al Shirley, in A ball, once struck out 208 times in 487 plate appearances!!

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:20 pm

as per mlbtr guys
Here’s something I can’t believe I’m typing… can Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd make a Major League comeback at age 49? Oil Can hasn’t pitched since 1991, but claims his velocity is back up in the low 90s, and his curveball is back to form. He’s always dreamt of carrying on Satchel Paige’s legend and pitching into his 60s. Boyd’s quote:
“”I have nothing to lose, and all a major league team has to lose is 15 minutes,” said Boyd. “Give me 15 minutes and I’ll show I can still pitch. That’s all I want.”
Boyd threw at the Red Sox fantasy camp, and former catcher Mike Stanley said that Oil Can’s stuff is the same as it was 18 years ago, and his pa$$ion hasn’t died down one bit.

Certainly an interesting story, but can he live up to his word?

anyone think omars listening??? lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:21 pm

don’t call me shirley btw kingy u like to watch gladiator movies??

Brock Landers aka The Original Kingman 26 February 15, 2009 at 3:25 pm

I sure do, and I also have spent time in a Turkish prison….

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:27 pm

ohhh billy!!!

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 3:41 pm

Does a bear poop in the woods?

LeiterMilnerFasterStronger February 15, 2009 at 4:23 pm

I also heard that, in Mike Stanley’s professional catching opinion, 49-year-old Oil Can could punch out Barfield and Balboni 3 times a game and still have enough gas left over to fill his DeLorean.

SantanaClause February 15, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Omar would listen if he was hispanic. jkjk had to say it

Jerk Madoff February 15, 2009 at 3:44 pm

the bear comment was intended as a reply to the is Omar interested in Boyd question….

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 3:46 pm

i figured as much – but hey at least we traded one hernandez for the newer version – 1 has 99,000 miles on the odometer while the other one has 69,000 lol

rustystaubsillegitmateson February 15, 2009 at 4:31 pm

lol back to the future time

SantanaClause February 15, 2009 at 7:19 pm
