I miss the pre-SNY days as well. I used to be a constant commenter but things have changed over the past 2 years or so.

There used to be far more posts, far more links with a break-down of the beat reporters stories, far more links to other blogs who have interesting tidbits (these blogs also got their own posts not just group listing).

Perfect example is the NYT has an article about CitiField. They took a tour with Jeff Wilpon. Is there a single mention of it on this site? No. How many contributers does the site have and how few posts actually occur.

Mike, the problem is, you know even less about MRI's and the medical field than you do about baseball, which frankly, should allow people to attack your opinions, because they're entirely baseless and laughable.

Robin Williams was hospitalized in Miami, here's the latest.

Local TV station WSVN reported that Williams was in an intensive care unit at a Miami hospital. The Miami Herald reported earlier today that Williams had been admitted to a Miami hospital suffering from "shortness of breath."
However, the London's Daily Mail is reporting that the actor will check out of the hospital later today.

Man...his publicist is really screwing this up. They need to get on the same page!

As a reader of Metsblog for the past 3 years, I believe this wins the award for most irrelevant and most egregious soapbox post.

If you feel this way, join the discussion in the comments section fo 50% of the posts these days. Your opinion is no more correct than the 500 others debating this exact same topic. Just because you can put a jpeg of an MRI machine on yuor post doesn't make it better. It doesn't deserve to be on the front page; especially "48 hours" after a saga. Let it die, celebrate that Santana is elite and feels no pain, and watch the AAA players play Italy today.

There are times I miss the days Cerrone was the lone voice of this site (pre-SNY days)

The Mets did mishandle Church. People with concussions should never fly in high altitude aircraft. The Mets did just that.

I agree in most part to what jpkmets said. My post was made without seeing his/her's. When it comes to injecting contrast dyes, I can see why a MD with a high price athlete would want direct control over that. But good MRI images can be done without contrast, and any competent radiologist (MD)can image a complete exam that any other doctor in the world would be satisfied with the quality and completeness.

There is something very wrong with this post. It has been long over-exposed and it has become a non-story. The writer is grasping at straws just to criticize the Mets.
Jerry has been running a great camp, the Mets have been showing a nice chemisty amongst themselves, but some Debby Downer has to find fault with them any way.
The writer deserves all the flack he can get. It is an irresponsible story with little facts to back his riduclous assertions.

Darkstar, you are 100% correctamundo. Things change, and you adjust by making different decisions on the fly. Some of these people who agree with this writer probably have no clue what it is to run a business or manage a department. Mets need no apologies here and should tell all the pundits--especially on SNY starting at 5 PM to shut the hell up.
