I agree completely, the bench will come down to Marlon or Nick. Evans is somewhat of a duplicate of Tatis, so they will probably go with Marlon to start the year.

even if Evans is only seen as a bench/role player there is plenty to be gained by getting 400 PA’s in AAA instead of 150 in the bigs. I would prefer to see him in AAA working on his versatlity and comfort level not playing everyday and pinch hitting.

If we’re going to name a 5th start off of one good outing in the WBC then Elmer Dessens should be the 5th starter.

Santana, Pelfrey, Maine, Ollie, Redding (by default), Stokes, Feliciano, Green, Putz, K-Rod.

Who else will fill those 2 spots?

cross off Niese and Garcia, cross off Parnell or any other prospect.

a.s.s.uming that no other players are brought in its either Livan or Figueroa and they’ll start with 6 in the pen…

I agree, in some ways I wanted Feliciano gone more than any of them.

I really wanted him traded but with a FB like that he had NO trade value. Take the money and sign Ohman. Then you basically traded Sanchez for Ohman, good trade.
