The Hanson kid is the real deal , he's ranked among the top ten prospects.
In any event, I pulled his scouting report and it doesn't bode well for us.

: As good as Hanson was during the 2008 regular season, he was even nastier in the Arizona Fall League. He led the AFL in wins (5), ERA (0.63) and strikeouts (49 in 28 2/3 IP), holding hitters to a .105 batting average. And that doesn't even count his dominant outings in the Rising Stars Showcase and championship game.
Scouting report: A big, tall right-hander with outstanding mound presence, he has a three-pitch mix that he can throw for strikes. He has a fastball that runs up to 94 mph with plenty of life, one of the best curve balls in the Minors and an above-average changeup. He's working on a slider as well and he can throw any of his pitches at any point in the count. With good mechanics and delivery, he's the whole package

One of many reasons why everyone has to calm down about sring training aches and pains. Watch the MLB Network crawl at night--it's one tweak, pull, or MRI after another. That's what happens when guys are trying to get back on track for the regular season.

Yes, it would... It would put a sock in the mouths of the those Phillies fans wishing for that on Johan. They have something to be worried about there, because Lidge has had arm problems in the past... For that matter too, Hamels too.

It would really be a terrible thing if Lidge had a prolonged forearm stiffness
