You should probably happily remind Mets fans about that who post at Philly blogs.

And a Philly (or filly) is a race horse.

I'm here because I keep up on Mets news for my brother who's in the military, and sometimes I can't resist commenting or posting observations. As for the rest of your barely-intelligible response, I have tickets for twenty-one Phillies games as it stands now because I got a partial ticket package, so I didn't need a silly presale for Phillies games, and didn't bother to use the presale for Mets tickets.

I get a lot of practice. My brother and I grew up in northeast PA, so I became a Phillies fan and he became a Mets fan (he really loved Ron Darling). We talk lots. In fact we're going to catch a game at Citi sometime this year, although we don't know when yet. That's partly why the presale things caught my eye.

Yeah the "team to beat" line needs to be buried. New material is necessary!

I think the Mets are going to miss Pedro as a fifth starter because he wasn't afraid to fill someone's earhole. Do they have a guy like that who's a starter now? It's important to have, and I'll give an example: I knew the Phils were going to beat the Dodgers when Brett Myers threw behind Manny in Game 2 and no one retaliated. You couldn't have dug the Dodgers a grave big enough. Sure, they threw over Victorino's head in Game 3, but by that time it was too late, way too late.

Yeah Myers and his wife are both crazy and they fight like two betta fish in a single tank, but when it comes down to it, he'll plunk anyone if it's called for. You need that guy.

I would say it's a weak argument, but sure you can make it. Comparing the website of Philadelphia's NBC affiliate to a website that is linked to the website of a sports network seems a stretch to me.

Ultimately I am not up in arms about any of this. It strikes me as part of a budding rivalry, which is something our favorite teams have been developing recently, but which still has a ways to go in my opinion before it can be truly regarded as such.

well in the age of sports blogs, NY media pointing it out when it occured and ESPN's extensive covergae of these type of events...not too hard to hear about the remarks made at a championship parade.

team to beat line - wish they'd forget using it. you got me on that one.

enjoying the trash talk btw
