Despite yesterday’s win, the Mets were 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position, continuing a troublesome trend from last season.
Jerry Manuel, speaking about the offense, after yesterday’s game, said:
“It still seems like we could have put a few more runs on the board to be more comfortable… Obviously, I’d like to still see us do some other things offensively… We left a lot of lot of runners on base, we have to make sure we address that situation.”
