If Putz is successful, he'll want to hit the open market where the Mets can pick up a draft pick if he's keeps his "Type-A" statis. Keep the money and sign a 1B or OF next off season, and make Bobby Parnell (or a cheaper replacement) the set up man for 2010. Way to far off, so let's wait and see....
