Disagree, we have won those slots many times. Valentin, Chavez, Tatis, Gotay for a little while, and many more that we have been able to ride a hot hand for a while. Do they always turn into everyday guys for the long run? Nope but that’s not the point.

What off season gambles have the Mets won? The last “gambles” that paid off were Tatis and Stokes (maybe Ayala too). We decided to give about 5 guys a shot at the number 5 spot, and the showing has been an embarrassment. Granted, the number 3 slot has looked worse.

Actually, if his wife had not cut off free access to her blog, we’d likely know exactly what he was thinking. I think that’s why she cut off access. The last post before she did so was highly emotional, and suggested that she and Nelson were PO’d by the way he was treated by the Mets, in getting sent down for Fossum after a quality start. In retrospect, it appears the Mets really needed the extra BP arm for the horrific week that followed.

probably not and your right const. As bad as ollie does..he is not going anywhere. I think however we will see figgy back sometime this season. Niese and Gee got ALONG ways to go before even being considered imo. The surest guy we got down there is figgy and imo thats the next guy to get called up if anything should present itself.
