This is going to be bad bad bad. This guy can’t handle Top 1st, no score, no out, no one on base. How will he be able to adapt to situational pitching? This makes no sense, his main problem is his mentality is seriously lacking.

Just what we need, a lefty reliever who can’t find the strikezone. And what situation will Jerry use to bring in that type of quality. They should have sent him down or DL him. He needs to work innings. One batter here or there won’t help. When he does move back to the rotation he will only be good for 5 innings if you put him in the pen.

If you watched the game the other day with Perez he did wince once or twice after running to first. My main point is that if you covered the names of the players and just looked at the box scores for the last three seasons you would be hard pressed to be able to tell one team or season apart from each other. Can’t get a hit when it counts, can’t get a ground out or a fly ball when it counts, can’t make a big play when it counts. Delgado looks great and then gets hurt, Sheffield will not be with this team or shouldn’t be for the entire season, it goes, on and on, and on – nothing changes for the better.

Cerrone I agree with you in some areas but HAVE to cal you out on one point. I agree that Perez was the wrong signing, Garland and Biemel were the signings they should have made. But read back to the posts you made in the offseason, there was no one complaining and agonizing more over randy wolf than you! We would be crying about him at some point or another, he is cheap and sometimes, other than the case with Ollie, you get what you pay for.

What’s worse is that no other teams were bidding for Perez. Minaya essentially gave him a $36 million gift. Awful.
