You can bring sabremetrics into it but injuries and finding any excuse not to play the "throw-in" in the deal isn't helping any arguments. Most despise the idea of an exhibition game outcome determining home field, so why not elect a NON Allstar team! Imagine millions of votes cast for the most undeserving! A PR nightmare for Bud and possibly a way to get MLB to revisit the whole idea! Agreed. But Milledge crushed his value with the short time he spent in the majors. These 5 tool can't miss players have a habit of turning out pretty bad. Having met many people there whose parents and/or grandparents feared they'd die before experiencing it though, I can say they're not all like that.
