Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports lists the Mets as
the fifth-best team in the National League in his weekly Power Rankings, behind the Dodgers, Cardinals, Phillies and Brewers.
Last Saturday, Francisco Rodriguez collapsed in the lockerroom from back pain, and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
He has since returned to pitch two innings, during which he allowed one run and two hits and recorded one save.
However, in his report, Brown writes, “K-Rod, making clumsy effort to fit in with new teammates, collapses in May, a good four months early.”
…well played, tim… sad, but funny… nice work…

As someone who has had back problems, I was quite surprised K-Rod was back pitching in 2 days. Hopefully, the meds are not masking a problem that could pop up again when we really need him down the stretch. Its tough to have faith in the Mets medical staff right now.
People may be talking about the mets’ collapses over the last two seasons, but as you guys see K-Rod collapsed and is now back, better than ever and the same will be true for us, we collapsed but this is a new season with hopefully a whole new ending!
I’m sorry but in my biased opinion I think the Mets are at least the 3rd best team in the NL. There’s no way you can say they’re better then the Dodgers & the Cards after they were dominated by both teams. However the Mets ARE in 1st place in the NL East ahead of the Phillies who they have a better record against & if I remember correctly the Mets also have a better record against the Brewers, as well.
