Paul McCartney at CitiField would be tremendous, and a nod to Shea history we are not seeing much of at Citi! Wouldn't rule out a Ringo cameo either - they teamed up at some benefit earlier this year.

While we are talking about non-baseball at Citi - everyone assumes if/when NY gets and NHL outdoor classic it will be at Yankee Stadium, but Citi is configured so much better for such an event with the close-in OF seating. Plus the new Yankee Stadium is not longer an 'historic' venue like Wrigley or Fenway. Any word on it the Mets are considering a bid for an Islanders-Rangers classic?

My wife noticed the bat licking live action on Saturday, and her appalled reaction was priceless. Me, I say whatever works!

small-ball style of play is what this team needs. The power will come, and that will only combo with the small-ball style to provide very effective baseball.

But small-ball is important and will win games when we are pitching well and more importantly, when facing good pitching (which usually exists in the, dare-I-say...post-season)
