Built in day-off for Sheff, who desperately needs it (2 days if he doesn't start tomorrow, which wouldn't surprise me). One more day for Beltran to get his strength back (it's amazing how much better the lineup looks with him in there). As has been mentioned, there's the possibility of skipping Redding, or else giving everyone an extra day of rest (which has to be like choosing between lobster and caviar for Jerry). And, with any luck, it's one fewer game we have to play without Reyes (and possibly Delgado, depending on when they reschedule for). I, too, am thrilled with this news.
