I disagree with Vazzano. Wright bashes lefties and he’s facing 3, yes, 3 lefty starters in the Philly series.
I would place money that Wright launches some bombs this week in these bandbox ballparks

For what it’s worth, I would LOVE to have Wally Backman as the manager of the New York Mets. I know about his record and that’s not good, but I think he wants to be sucessful and losing kills him. I wish I could say that about the current Mets manager.

you say this as IF you know Wally Backman personally, how do you know losing kills him anymore than Manuel, because he played on the 1986 Mets?

You want to know how I get the sense that Backman would be a terrible manager, you do not hear his ex-mates ever suggest that he should be managing in the minor leagues let alone the major leagues. That gives me a fresh sense that they do not exactly glow at the name Wally Backman.
