It seems that Murphy is not in his plans. I don't understand how Manual could put Tatis on 1st base when he been terrible these few days granted that he have been productive last year, but he is not everyday player; whereas, I feel that Murphy needs some consistent playing time to development. It seems like switching positions and no playing everyday is affect him somewhat.

It is also true with F-Mart, if Manual is the one to keep him up then why he is not playing. He needs to play to develop. Let hope we win today.

Where do you get that from? Schneider is extremely underwhelming behind the plate. Not terrible, but not particularly good either. Omir appears to be much sharper back there from what I've seen.

Anyone have video or pics of Victorino being annoyed? I didn't catch it.

If Daniel Murphy is the future of the Mets, I'm going to start looking for a new team.

I wish the guy well, but he's a singles hitter without a position. Let's calm down on Murphy.

Schneider also has a lifetime OPS+ of 83 in nearly 1000 games, while Santos has 115 career PAs, and an OPS+ of 85 this season. It's hard to see how Santos is an upgrade at all. Actually, his name is easier to spell, so I give him credit for that.

Schnieder is a far better catcher in every aspect except hitting than Omir Santos.

Um, no? He got caught running to 2nd; no limping to 2nd on a routine double?

Seriously this lineup is crap. Wright needs to hit higher so he's not being protected but Fernando Tatis, FMart should be splaying or in Buffalo, period. And Murphy should be playing every day at this point. Seriously at this point I think Daniel getting comfortable at 1st is more important than we all waiting for Tatis to be some player that he's not. Highly touted prospect burns out eventually lands on the Mets past his prime has a great season last year wins award and now we're all convinced the spike year is who he really is? Or it is because he hit two grand slams in a game once?

I don't understand why the Mets think they can resurrect people by simply putting a Mets uniform on them. Daniel Murphy is the future of this club and needs to get his time consistently just liek FMart.

Sheffield needs to sit until he can run like a normal major league player. He's not hitting bombs out to warrant the Kirk Gibson treatment.

I just looked it up - Schneider is .391 lifetime and 1 for 4 this year (.250). Omir is .263 lifetime (most of which is this year, but it's a very small sample size - 5 out of 20. Safe to say the jury's still out on his arm.

You know i thought Omir was better defensively as well, and he probably is as far as fundamentals etc.. but did you see the % of runners thrown out? I think they put it up on SNY a week or so ago and Omir was in the 20s and Schneider in the 40s
