but that argument has no validity because they called up a 13th pitcher and got rid of Valdez. Evans was already here to fill that need, which I agree was lacking before Evans was called up.

They have the pitching re-inforcements without going to 13 pitchers. In fact they already had them in Stokes and Switzer.

Unfortunately being able to field a major league defense at all times is more important than having 13 pitchers.

I get the feeling that Misch won’t be here long anyway, he was a long man candidate in case Redding had a bad night.
