We're still only 3 games back with a lot of games left. If we were 7-8 games back than I'd panic but if we can get to the all-star break being less than 10 games back, a healthy team can make up those games. We still have a lot of games against the phillies to make up ground. If the phillies don't get another SP, they won't be able to run and hide with the Division!! The same thing happened last year when they chose to keep Wise over Register. Granted I have no clue how Register has pitched this year but I liked what I saw out of him last spring and he couldn't have been worse than what we were throwing out there last year. Some fans say pick up DeRosa, or Dunn, fill in your choice, etc, as if one or another ensures we stay in the race while Omar allows himself to be robbed. Whatever. Some fans say it's Omar's fault for not having the organizational depth to replace all the wounded. Whatever. Some fans say the Met's and Omar owe them something...and have to make a deal. Whatever. I am not saying DeRosa was the right fit but I am not putting a very high value on Parnell right now. Really he is nothing special until he develops another GOOD pitch.
