It's just a different baseball mentality that could be described as obnoxious. If the Mets fans are guilty of anything, it's over-hyped expectations, when in reality we haven't won anything and have no reason to be gloating. In the gloating department overall, the Phils, Yanks, and Sox have us beat hands down. Well they are the most successful NL franchise so you figure their fans would be self righteous and a little obnoxious, but I don’t think you can put any midwest team’s fans on the same level as the east coast’s, specifically the Phils, Mets, Yanks, and Sox. It’s just a different baseball mentality that could be described as obnoxious.
