    Who’s Fernando Yatis?

  2. ericloz says:

I really know what’s scarier; Nieve crashing back down to earth, another national game, or the sleeping giant (phils)?

    Not good.

    LGM

  3. ericloz says:

You know, manny is a bum, a cheat, and a bad defensive player, but the Mets can sure use that bat right about now.

He missed 50 games and has as many homeruns as the entire line up minus Sheff.

Does that make me a hyprocrite?

  4. Craig K. says:

If you don’t think half the mets at one point in their career didn’t at least dabble with some sort of PED then your crazy. This doesn’t make you a hypocrite…it makes you beautiful!

  5. ericloz says:

I would love to see one Met go deep today, I know it’s asking alot, but I’m asking anyway.

Just one, there doesn’t even need to be anyone on base.

  6. ericloz says:

I hate Rollins as much as I hated young Chipper.

    Hey Matt;
Could we have a pic of Julie Alexandria on this blog?
It would brighten a lot of spirits during these dire times!

  8. ericloz says:

This is purely embarrassing, I almost feel physically ill.

Why are they messing up so badly and so often?

  9. ericloz says:

I will never advocate the firing of a manager or GM, however this team needs a major wake-up call.

fire Omar and Jerry, send a few guys packing and say ‘No More”.

We are talking major league ball players here, not T-Ball.

    My rant of the day.

  10. What is it going to take for somebody to get the picture…do we need to organize a mass walk-out like the Pirates did?

I’m a supporter of Omar because he has done more good than bad for this team, but Jerry is a horrible manager. He doesn’t manage, he doesn’t discipline, all he does is play darts to determine the lineup.

Manuel needs to be fired Monday morning if the Mets are swept…that will send a message.

This team isn’t going anywhere. How they came back the other day is a mix of a fluke and the Pirates being a below average team. The Phillies might not be on the top of their game and the Mets may be injured, but barely touching Rodrigo Lopez is unacceptable. I could go on the mound and probably get 6 IP and 2 ER against them.

The player’s are inefficient defensively, make too many base running mistakes and are just embarrassing themselves. We’re managed by a border line retard who looks as stupid as his player’s. It’s just not working.
It’s hard to imagine how we’re still in this thing. But there’s just a lingering feeling that through all this, their won’t be much at the end of this year. Major changes need to occur into next season.

  12. nyj0126 says:

The fact Jerry Manuel is manager of the Mets is on the shoulders of Omar Minaya. His stupidity is Omar’s doing. Just like Willie. Omar’s made a mix of good and bad moves. While the Castillo deal or Heath Bell moves don’t look good, getting Santana for little and signing Beltran, K-Rod and others have been good. If he gets fired, it should be because he holds responsibility for putting together a bunch of cowards who he even say lacks ”edge.” Sometimes you just need change and that starts from the top. Regardless of whether or not he deserves to lose his job doesn’t justify the fact he didn’t deserve an extension. He didn’t earn it. The Wilpon’s should have had more ”edge” and let him earn it by putting together a postseason roster this season. Instead they give him an excessive 3 year extension the same way James Dolan did for Isiah Thomas.

This seems to always have been a bit of an issue. In the 80’s Frank Cashen put together a powerhouse of a team but he didn’t like the team at all because they weren’t choir boys. Give me someone who lives hard and plays hard over a smiling choir boy that plays OK.

@dwright5 I wish there was a walk out but that would never happen considering 90% of this lineup knows in any normal universe they would be in the minors a la murph, evans, f mart etc. Management needs to grow some…
Someone once said to me in 2000..”This is nothing, this subway series. With all the money the mets and yanks have they’ll be 5 more subway series by 2010″. Well I can’t speak for the yankees not getting there as they do what’s necessary and just haven’t gotten to the WS since. But the mets have most certainly not done what it takes.
Bring back bobby v now and cashen on his death bed. Hell do a hell of a lot better than the Coupons
