yes unfortunately, after last night they'll need all the pitching they can have with Perez, Livan, and Nieve making the next three starts. Three mop up men on the roster kind of makes sense, sadly...

I was wondering why Parnell wasn't used last night for the last 2 innings as he seemed like the obvious choice to go to AAA.

And my friends that don't drink can play along too, they have to drink every time we hit a home run and at the end of the game, they are sopber and can drive the others home.

No, I am enjoying seeing Tatis hit into double plays. It is a new drinking game, every time we hit into a double play or make an error or mental mistake, you do a shot of your favorite liquor. By the 7th inning you are drunk as a skunk and don't care that the Mets lost again.

We keep hearing about how our missing stars' production can't be replaced, and some people are crying for Dunn.

Follow me here for a second:

We're willing to bring in a big bat left fielder who cant play defense to save his life.

We need someone who can hit the ball out of Citi Field.

We need someone who can offer legitimate protection for David Wright in the lineup.

We don't want to give up any prospects

Other teams are using Roiders, like the Dodgers, and have the best record in baseball.

We're clearly not against employing, and cheering for juicers since Sheffield is on the roster.

Why in god's name are we all so against Barry Bonds again? The only argument I've heard is that he's old, a jerk, and hasnt been in baseball for a year. Tatis was out of baseball for a few years and had a good year for us, you think maybe the greatest hitter of all time could help...just a little?

I can see Ollie's line already:
3 2/3 IP, 4 hits, 4 walks, 6 runs.

These guys are getting the job done. Why would we possibly need a bat? We scored 9 runs in a game last week. One guy cannot replace three all-stars. Adam Dunn has too many d's and n's in his name.

Let's keep getting shut out or winning 1-0 until Reyes comes back in August.

Not that Reyes can hit a lick, but how is the solution to not having a single run driven in by a position player in 3 games heavying up on pitching? Do we really need Dessens AND Redding in the pen? And Misch? Can we not find a friggin hitter someplace? Grudzy is a good suggestion, and there are plenty more out of work hitters who could be had.

not even sure why he was on the roster to begin with, what it kill the team togo after a guy like Mark Grudzielanek? he cant be any worse than the middle infielders we have ran out there, even at age 39
