i’ve been saying it for a couple of weeks — the mets must be sellers of:

schneider, cora, church, sheffield, tatis, castillo (if u can),

see what u can get for feliciano and greene and if its real good then do it.

its officially time to start thinking about next year because NONE of the core players are coming back until mid-August

I have not seen a Mets look like that since Alay Soler got bombed at Yankee stadium and was never seen again.

That time it was one guy. Today, I see that look on all the players. This is crazy.

The sad thing even if we tumbled bad and are clearly out by allstar break, our biggest chips (i.e. Putz and Wagner and Delgado) will not be off DL until AFTER the dead line.

And recall the Putz trade was a win – now move. The plan was to use Putz in 2009 and then not exercise his option in 2010. That is a win-now mentality. Who did we give up? All for nothing. Sure, this is monday morning quarter backing. I am not criticizing. Just stating a fact that the Putz move was a win-now move. Omar gambled and lost.

There is not a chance in the world the Mets trade Wright. Pelfrey’s not going anywhere either and there’s not a GM dumb enough to take Castillo (since Omar can’t make trades with himself).
