Stat: David Wright’s Last 21 Games, What’s Next
By Matthew Cerrone - Jul 9, 2009 12:33 pm

Last night, David Wright ended an 0–for-17 slump with a single to left field.

“Hopefully he’s getting ready to get into one of those hot streaks,” Jerry Manuel said following last night’s win over the Dodgers.

like i’ve been saying, it’s like wright works in 15– to 20–game stretches, going hot then cold, hot then cold… so, hopefully, he’s about to turn it on, just in time for the All-Star break… ugh

Wright is batting .210 in his last 21 games, during which he struck out in 25 percent of his plate appearances.

Due to the absence of Delgado and Beltran, DWright will simply be pitched around if he gets hot

exactly, he has 0 protection in the lineup now, pitchers are handling him different than they have in the past.

What people don’t seem to realize is that for every man at the plate, there are 9 guys in the field making sure they are doing their best to not let him get a hit.

    **** News *****

Just read that there was a single winner of the $133 million Mega Millions draw for July 7th, and that the winner is from Queens.

Lets hope that Freddie won!!!!! That offset some of his Madoff losses.

If so, he will be able to spend more next offseason (as he should of this passed offseason) and we wont be in the same mess.

mets could use wright and church to both get hot…even if wright is hot and they pitch to him…thats not enough…and church has been hot for about 3 weeks even tho hes like 1 for his last 14 or something
