Stat: Mets Score a Run
By Matthew Cerrone - Jul 9, 2009 11:35 am

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, courtesy of ESPN.com, “The Mets snapped a 23-inning scoreless streak with a run in the second inning Wednesday night, which is the longest such streak for any National League team this season.”

…the crowd erupted in to a sarcastic cheer, which is becoming quite the standard reaction to things in Citi Field lately, be it Luis Castillo catching a pop up or the team scoring or run

Fred Wilpon must be so happy, he has Ebbets Field part 2 and now he has The Bums playing on the field.
