Are you kidding? I am still fearful of KRod blowing a save in the All-star game, or D Wright dropping a popup. Sure, the game doesn’t count in the standings, but it would be grounds for more Mets mockery. This season, not even the all-star game will be easy…

According to Gary Cohen, the new apple needs 45 seconds to recharge after it has been raised and lower in order to rise again. There wasn’t enough time between the 2 homers.

I am afraid that the Apple is a perfect example of the Mets season.

After Tatis HR, the Apple did not rise. No matter how much the fans rooted and chanted the Apple did not rise. Finally at the end of the inning, the Apple rose. Little too late for it to matter.

Same as our season. Mets fans are chanting for more effort. No matter how they cheer the team winning percentage remains dismal. When the DL is cleared and everyone returns and the Mets start to win, it will be too late and not really matter (at least as far as Mets post-season aspirations go).
