I am so happy that “NY has the most intelligent fans”. Carlos Beltran is a “disaster”, but Manny at all costs would have saved us. Do you realize how ridiculous you all sound? We didn’t win the World Series in 2006! Boo hoo. You are starting to sound like Yankee fans. Forget starting. You are all Yankee Fans in Mets t-shirts. There are 29 teams every year who don’t win the World Series. We are not entitled to anything except 162 games a season. More is better. More would be great. You people clearly don’t remember Hubie Brooks and Mookie Wilson (the Mook who played on the team when they were brutal but hustled and that is why we loved him, not for a squib grounder that he got insanely lucky on) and Felix Milan and Joel Youngblood. Winning isn’t guarenteed. There is another team, every night with professional hitters and prideful pitchers trying to win. Give it a rest. Beltran is one of the best players the Mets will EVER have and we are LUCKY to have him. Hope he gets better. Hope they all get better so we can watch some better baseball

You are absolutely entilted to your opinion, sir, and I am entitled to mine…which is that your posts today abour Beltran are silly, incorrect and unfair to a guy who has missed very very little time despite playing with an injury and playing a position that reqquires him to run and coverplenty of ground.

It’s def been one of the worst seasons ever. It’s not like we came into the season like WASH, knowing we were going to suck. We had high expectations, and rightly so, and to see this number of players at their caliber on the DL, its extremely frustrating. But, I gotta stay hopeful. There’s 2 ways to make it to October and 77 games left. Cliche as it is, ya just never know.

so did I, so sorry for coming off harsh against him and i know we have to let these things go especially when it has to do with injury related absences, but its beyond frustrating for everyone watching these guys and hearing how much longer they will be out if that info is even given.

I think the biggest loser on the WBC side was Perez, hopefully he can put that mess behind him with a big start tonight. Been a while since the Mets have had a big game, tonight is going to be huge.
