If the Mets acquire Kazmir again, I see a potential second nightmare, which would be 1000 times the first and would forever tag the Mets as a dupe. Kazmir Potential Nightmare. It would be seen at TB fleecing the Mets to acquire Kazmir (everying one knows this story). Using Kazmir in Kazmir's healthy and inexpensive years, and then unloading Kazmir back to the Mets for a steep price (prospects or $$$) and then have Kazmir break down (which is what the Mets predicted in the first place and why he was traded). The above would be too much. Such an occurrence would cause true fan ire. This would be the sort of move to cause the Mets to fire Omar. Many fans have not gotten over Kazmir Nightmare I.

This morning in his daily apology, when asked if the distraction has caused him to lose sight of the trade deadline, he replied with something like, "we are on the phones and we turned down some trade already that if you heard the names offered to us you wouldn't believe"...I think he's just saying this as a defense mechanism response to everybody thinking he's distracted. But for some reason this is true, when this is over, I want to know who he rejected!!! I want Omar to be accountable for his decisions and remarks!
