The Mets have won four in a row; they’re five losses back of the Wild Card lead with 63 games left; and the potential of a trade yet to be made, and the return of Carlos Delgado, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Billy Wagner and J.J. Putz.

However, players may not return from the disabled list; a trade may not be made; the winning streak will eventually end; and they’re five losses back of the Wild Card, with seven teams in front of them.
