If he isn't going to pitch they might as well replace him on the roster. Figgy could stay and be a quick hook option for Perez. They lost Dessens recently, so having a reliable long man would be a good idea. Interesting that the Mets DFA Cancel when they could option him. Given the non-waiver trade deadline has since passed and so many races are close, I don't think he would pass through waivers at this point.
