Did you forget that reyes played 150+ games from 2005-2008? I think you also forgot that unlike someone like Shef, Reyes is sort of useless with a leg injury, so its a lot more difficult for him to play thru it.

But to complain about not trading Sheffield is just plain crazy. It’s like you’re looking for something to complain about now. What would we get for him? Surely nothing worthwhile. I’m willing to bet we got more in return for Wagner than we would have gotten for Sheffield, and people are crying about that trade everywhere.

Matt, you seriously need to bring back the old slogan: “One team, one million GMs”

So many people on here think they could do better…it’s laughable.

Jose won’t be going anywhere until he proves he’s healthy – and even then it would have to be for a tremendous package that would include a major-league ready SS.

While I am disappointed with Jose’s inability to come back from the DL this season (and whether it was more mental than physical), I think people are forgetting what a difference maker he can be on the basepaths. His talent is hard to come by.

If the Giants were only blocking him, then keeping him makes sense. It wasn’t worth letting Sheff go for money, since he’s not making any. I had thought the Giants offered a player (not a great one, mind you).
