Please stay away from bradley and zambrano. The last thing this team needs is a bunch of psycho paths. Remember when Zambrano attacked his own catcher. These are not the type of players you bring in to an organization that is already a mess with no real leadership, they will run wild. These are the types of guys you bring to an established winner with a leader or a core of leaders (like the yankees of the late 90s) who can keep these guys in check and probably get some good production out of them in the process.

I agree. I could see Omar talking to the Cubs about Lee, and Zambrano, and then Bradley coming up in conversation.

I thought that Bradley was a guy worth kicking the tires on last off-season. Right now though, I would not be happy with trade that sends Bradley over. Why not just keep Lastings Milledge then?

Getting Holliday for LF would be the easiest of all the options. Crawford would be my next option. I would look into Delmon young or BJ Upton, if you want to get younger. Bradley should be option 5.

I agree but Ken Rosenthal isn't the most reliable source.

It could have been that Omar (or Ricco or someone in the Mets FO) called the Cubs to discuss various players and the Cubs mentioned Bradley. The Mets have had multiple opportunities to get Bradley during Omar's tenure. Not sure why he would appeal to them now.

Even if you were on the fence about whether Omar should stay or go, if he really did contact the Cubs to express interest in Bradley, that alone should be enough to get fired.

Even without the mental baggage, do the Mets really need to get invloved with another aging, slowing, defensively challenged OF with chronic injury issues?

I would say pass even if the Cubs cut him, and he came for minimum wage like Sheffield.

I wouldn't think that the Cubs are in any kind of bargaining position with Bradley...and the Mets would best be advised to stay far away from this guy.
