Ive actually been making anti-omar comments on this blog for a couple of years now dating back to 2007 at the deadline when we did nothing. I think he is a bad GM, I don't think hes a very intelligent guy and that goes beyond the fact that he cant hold a press conference without putting his foot in his mouth. He cant follow his own plan that he gave us when he came here, in fact he cant follow any plan he just seems to do the obvious moves and never seems to get creative.

I am not sorry for what I said, the guy is a moron and it is evident in more than his inability to communicate with others. If you have a problem with one of the many reasons I dislike Omar well thats too bad because I dont care what you or any other people like you think. I want my team to win and having an incompetent person as our general manager will not help that and so I can take out my anger however I want. And if you have a problem with that then stop responding to my comments.

Depending on the extent of the muscle tear and what shape the tendon is in , I would venture to say that Reyes may be out for all/most of 2010.

It's 2003-2004 all over again with this guy. Acquiring someone capable of playing SS everyday should be on the Mets to do list this off season. At this point I don't think you can rely on Reyes being able to play 120+ games at SS in 2010 especially if there are questions if he'll be ready by ST.

blow up management. change for change is better than looking over our shoulder next season, waiting for the other shoe to drop

This makes no sense. Please get a new training staff immediately. You will not be able to attract free agents as they will be in fear of having below-par medical care.

I hate to say this, but, we can't sit around another year and say "As Reyes goes, the METS go". If Reyes will not be back or is not 100% then its time to fill the hole and move on. We cant afford to put in 8 different guys and wait for his return. We need stability in the lineup, not more questions and trips to the DL. Go and get another SS and play him unilt Reyes can come back.

I'm a fan of Frenchy, so I think he is going to surprise us next year (as if hitting over 300 for us isn't surprise enough for his detractors), but taking into account age alone, we have a slew of guys who this year who have been forced to step up before they were ready: Santos, Hernandez, Murphy and even Pelfrey are all under or at 25 years old, as F-cour is.

Next year, the proof will be in the pudding if these guys are asked to shoulder as much of the team's offense as they have this year.

Let's hope we're healthy and they can drop back to being given a chance to season just a bit more, and learn too.

You and your trashing of Omar and his grasp of the english language is amazing. Why don't you just come out and say it, tell us how you really feel about Omar?!?

I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.

Omar needs to walk because he failed in his duty as a GM; no other reason.

Your personal attacks on Omar are petty and only show how infantile and obsolete YOU really are, get over it.

I hope the few thousand tickets the wilpons sold based on hope that reyes and beltran would come back to save the team was worth it bc it could cost us both their remaining Met careers.
