For once, I totally agree w/ you. Just get it done.

Perform both procedures, strap him to a bed for 3 to 7 days, then start rehab, he’ll be walking by Halloween and jogging on a treadmill or pool by Thanksgiving.

It’s not rocket science, or is he a Jehovah’s Witness and against surgery?

yelling now that he whould have surgery in July, but they would have yelled then about what idiiots cutting him open prematurely.

From all reports at the time, the prescribed treatment for a partial tendon tear was rest, and rehab. Well, that is what they did. For whatever reason, Jose never felt comfortable enough to move forward.

It makes sens though that at this point, he should be testing it out to see how the healing went.

We have no way of knowing if the hammy itself was partially torn all along (maybe casuing the continued pain), or maybe it is a fresh injury.

But, if surgery is now the recommended appoarch, get it done and start rehabbing. Guys have come back in the same season from this kind of procedure, and ST is almost 5 months from now.

I think it is ridiculous to say that the Mets acted recklessly and threw away the career of one of thei most prized assets. There is no proof of that, from the bits and pieces reported by the press

I want to see what BS they concoct to have Wright hit wi power again-how about he not have such a LONG ASS SWING!! He has had that swing all year and no one says anything about it- i know he ios hitting 300, but when has he driven in an important run? There are as many holes in that swing as in a politician’s speech.

Again… I’d be willing to bet that Jose is terrified of having surgery, and has been trying every single other option available. And let’s be honest… who among us really wants to have surgery? Look, the Mets can’t knock him out and perform surgery without his consent. This is not a life-threatening situation. If he says “no surgery, I want to try rehab,” they have to let him try it. And I’m sure the doctors have said, “Well, he could have the surgery… but there’s a chance he can avoid it.” I’ll bet Jose jumped at the chance to avoid it. Was that the right decision? I don’t know. But I know I have a hard time getting mad at somebody who doesn’t want to go under the knife. I know I wouldn’t want to.

This is nonsense. Why is there even a question? What does Reyes need to decide? He tried rehabbing, and it has done nothing but get worse. Either he goes under the knife and gets it fixed, or he gets on a plane out of town, along with this supposedly great and highly respected medical staff. This should have been taken care of months ago. I swear to God this team is killing me…

I’m with you 100% Dude. What IS this?? Get the damned guy WELL already. Take charge, tell him “We’re the Doctors here,” and DO IT. April 1, April 15, April 43rd. Whatever. Get him ready for next year (and this is NOT blaming Jose, but the medical bozos who should know better.)
