Also I don't see how you can depend on Thole to be the starting catcher, I like him a lot and it looks like he can be a solid players but I don't know if he can be relyed on for an entire year at the starting position

Your rotation is fine but I think the bench is a little weak - If you depend on Angel Pagan for CF you have to have somebody that can step in, Angel has a history of being hurt, he did make it mostly through this year and he suffered the groin injury i believe it was and was on the 15 day DL. That leaves your bench short unless you call up somebody.

Also how can you depend on Delgado? He hasn't even proven he can play after his hip surgery and he is a robust 38. He also can have a bad attitude at times, in my mind it wasn't too great to leave your team just because you weren't able to play the rest of the year. If he plays next year I think it will be on an AL team where he can DH.

I doubt that the yankees would go for that trade, huges is very valuable to them and i just don't see it, you'd have to trade for another CF unless you want to depend on pagan

and no to delgado it's time to move on

Beltran and Holliday's salaries would basically be a swap, Halladay would add $20MM, Delgado would probably get 6-7MM with incentives. So in this scenario, would the total team salary actually go down?

Sign Delgado for one more year. I feel this is a solid move with the addition of Chris Carter and the presence of Ike Davis rising through the minors. One more year will give Davis time to grow and Delgado at first is cheaper than any other free agent out there and will provide more pop than murphy guaranteed - DO NOT part with Ike Davis in the Halladay trade (trade for Halladay: Niese, Martinez, Parnell, Mejia, and Familia)

I disagree with the notion that warthen is entrenched in the pitching coach slot. I feel the Mets are at least wise enough to reach out to Duncan to see what he is looking for. I don't think they will go that way unless Duncan is willing to take a discount.
