That leaves your bench short unless you call up somebody. Also how can you depend on Delgado? He hasn't even proven he can play after his hip surgery and he is a robust 38. He also can have a bad attitude at times, in my mind it wasn't too great to leave your team just because you weren't able to play the rest of the year. If he plays next year I think it will be on an AL team where he can DH.
