It’s irresponsible for Hubbach to suggest steroids unless this kid failed a drug test. Young people have been known to die of heart attacks and usually there is a hereditary component. It happens. If steroids led to heart attacks, Clemens, Bonds and McGwire would be dead now.

It’s also irresponsible for Hubbach to suggest the Mets may have a problem with steroids in their DR program. Sure, some kids in the program failed drug tests this summer, but AFAIK, it’s a widespread problem that’s hit every team with prospects in Latin America.

Sounds like more dumping on the Mets when they are down. Good thing Citi Field didn’t develop cracks in the concrete like the new Yankee Stadium did. The Mets would be crucified if that happened to them. But since the Yankees are in the WS, no one pays attention to their shoddy construction.

This is happening a lot lately to young men. There was some college basketball player recently who also died of a heart attack recently.
