Look how we did in 2006 with an American league offensive lineup... We dominated and had worse starting pitching than we do today. If we put together an AL lineup like we did in 2006 it will almost guarantee another playoff birth. And with the addition of John Lackey with Johan we would be World Series contenders. (Only if we significantly improve our offense). John Lackey is not the only piece that will put us past the Phillies. We need to match their offense. I’m a big believer that offense wins divisions and pitching wins in the playoffs.
