I really DONT CARE. I won't even watch it . There are good and bad points to either team winning. I will just go one with my life, and wait for ST to start. I will measure the "pain" of the winning team when it happens. May the BEST team lose. AT least 1999 was easier, because, the Braves just beat the METS in the NLCS, so, to see the Yankees win was like sweet revenge. This is different.

...hmm, that might actually be more sickening...

I'm going to root for rain, rain, rain,... and then some snow...

Yanks win game 7 on Dec 20th with a snowman playing LF. Snowman applauded for it's better range than Johnny Damon.

rooting against the yankees is the only way I see it; A Phillies will demand a change for the Mets and light up a fire in Omar's ass to do something to prevent this from happening again. A yankees win will do nothing but add their long luxrious record of 26 championships. A phillie win IMO would give the Mets a better shot at adding to the team in the off season.

Well, I always go back to that... the Phillies may have the better NL team, and it's not even close... but we have the better city, and it's not even close.

Oh, I agree that the Phillies could spend just as well as the Yankees, but you figure they definitely won't be in the market for Holliday or Bay as their outfield seems set for the next two years or so, and they probably won't be in on Lackey, as they have Lee, Hamels, Happ, and Blanton for the rotation, plus other young pitchers. (Sucks to be them, huh? Sarcasm, sarcasm.)

The Yankees, though, are set in the infield, clearly, and behind the plate... but could find their outfield in flux. I'd rather they not feel they HAVE to go get Holliday or Bay, or they HAVE to replace Andy Pettitte. I'd rather they win the WS and decide to just stand pat, as much as the Yankees stand pat.

VCarver, you crack me up! For me, the baseball season ended last night. I want both teams to lose, and since that's not possible, I just can't stand to watch 2 teams I despise. And up until last week, I figured that at least the Giants and Rangers would fill the gap. But they've been agonizing to watch as well. Wish I could break my addiction to NY sports.
