I'll keep this simple. He is not good, get someone better. The End.

For the funky delivery guy, I'd rather have Chad Bradford than Sean Green.

Green was prone to unusual lapses in control last year that resulted in wild pitches and walks. He also threw pitches up in the zone and was damaged significantly as a consequence. By contrast, ChadBrad always appeared to bear down when it mattered most - instances where Sean Green came up too short too often.

In conclusion, I think Sean Green has talent, but I question whether he has the killer instinct necessary to raise his level of performance in must-win situations.

Apart from talent, we need winning pitchers and winning ballplayers. I do not consider Sean Green to fit that mold.

he needs to come back, who knows if he was healthy at any time last year ... when healthy, the guy is pretty good.

if nothing else, he provides some trade bait at the deadline ... which we'll likely need.

It's not always that starters can't go deep, it's that they're not allowed to. WAY too much importance has been put on the bullpen the last few years throughout baseball, and it is messed up. Relievers are by and large in the pen because they aren't as good as starters. Why can't pitchers go 8 and 9 innings any more? They used to all the time.

though you may be right, but the truth is the league caught up to Parnells straight fastball and no true 2nd pitch.

As far as green is concerned, he a number of big moments this year but he had some really dreadful moments. If there are no options out there for an upgrade, you bring him back. Or at the least keep him in the minors.

The other problem is our dope manager really taxes guys to the point where they aren't effective. Parnell was being used 5 or 6 times a week at the beginning of the year which is simply negligent.

..And in regards to the question of overmanaging...do we ever put the accountability on the players anymore?

The Mets don't have too many 'specialists'...they have too many BAD PITCHERS! When your pitchers stink like this your only hope is to play the matchups.

Has it gotten so bad that we've totally lost the abolity to tell an awful pitcher from one with potential to do anything?

This clown made me actually miss Heilman. He lost a game on a bases-loaded walk. He lost a game on a bases-loaded hit batsman. He lost a game on a bases-loaded wild pitch. The only reason to bring him back would be to see if he can get a bases-loaded balk.

This guy cannot get off of this roster fast enough. We've all seen a steady parade of these types of gasoline-can relievers in our time. Green is one of the worst.
