Mark Bowman, in a post to his blog for MLB.com, feels that the Braves will end up trading either Javier Vazquez or Derek Lowe.
Bowman says that the Braves are shopping these starters to make financial room for other needs, and a possible destination for Lowe could be the Yankees, but they will first make a run at the younger John Lackey.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports believes the Orioles and the Giants are showing the most interest in Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla.
Meanwhile, Joe Frisaro, in a post to his blog for MLB.com, says that the Nationals are also showing interest in Uggla.
Finally, according to Jon Heyman of SI.com, the Phillies are one of eight teams interested in acquiring Mark De Rosa.

Nothing that great. Uggla with the Nats! Wow!
If the mets don’t end up getting Holliday. I’d go after Uggla as well as secondary options like Crawford, Hawpe and Dye.
If you can’t get the big bat like Holliday or Bay as I hope the Mets do, you can sprinkle power around the diamond in Molina, Uggla and someone like Atkins or Glaus to platoon with Murphy as well as come off the bench or give Wright a day off.
If you can’t get a bat like Holliday or BAy which shouldn’t happen, we’d go after Gonzo. We’d get Ankiel since he won’t cost a lot. We’ll get LAckey and Wolf and Molina or BArajas.
What Omar has not told us
is he looking to trade from “the core”
that we are all assuming is safe.
We speak of trading prospects to switch things up.
But is he thinking Beltan? Reyes?
dare we think it?
It’d time for a change….
