According to Dave O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Braves will soon announce that Tim Hudson has signed a three-year contract extension with an option for 2013, which
overrides the $12 million mutual option for 2010.
Jim Salisbury of the Philadelphia Inquirer believes that the Phillies are looking at Placido Polanco, Mark DeRosa, and Adrian Beltre, in that order, to fill their third base vacancy.
Polanco was with the Phillies between 2002 and 2005 and just finished a four year, $18.4 million deal with the Tigers.
