I think he'll be up by August. A 25 man roster usually consists of 12 pitchers, 8 position starters, 1 b/u catcher. This leaves you with 2 b/u OF and 2 b/u infielders. Delgado had the best numbers of any hitter in the second half of 2008 he hit 23 homeruns and averaged about an RBI per game. Delgado was the reason they still had a chance.
