		<description>I agree about Molina, but remember they DO give up a pick for their first type A- It&#039;s just not a #1; I&#039;m pretty sure they give up a #2 for their first, #3 for 2nd, etc.

Molina is not worth it unless the Giants don&#039;t offer Arbitration.</description>

		<description>If they sign Molina and another Type A FA they are insane.  Molina is a 35yo catcher on a two year deal.  After which, even if he maintains Type A status there will be no takers (remember Varitek).  In other words they would give up a 2nd round pick for at most 2 years from a 35 / 36 YO catcher with a sub-.300 OBP.  You can get Olivo or Barajas. both 3 or 4 years younger, without giving up the pick for not a lot less offence.  If they do not sign another Type A FA that is a different story; but the incremental cost of Molina (with another Type A signing) over Barajas or Olivo is too much.</description>
