In case you didn't notice, our starters weren't very good last year. An ERA of 4.5-5 (and I think it would be much better than that) would be an upgrade, sad as that may be. He's old and brittle and coming off of two major injuries. As a regular starter (which is why you'd bring him back) he wouldn't last to June 1st without getting hurt.
