I hope the fantasy camp post is tongue in cheek as I went to the camp a couple of years ago and was actually ON Joe and Bernard's team. We basically played .500 ball for a week, yet it was the best week I have ever spent. If the poster were a Mets fan for real, and not just a blogger, he probably would also have a tremendous time as everyone I know who went, would probably go again. In fact, I made so many new friends there, that we stay in touch and have regular get-togethers years after the camp.

I hope Peter Gammons is dead wrong about Jeff Wilpon being the GM of the Mets. Does he have any scouting background? Any talent evaluation background? It seems to me his only qualification is that his daddy bought a baseball team, and his is allowed to run it now. As a Knicks fan, this is eerily similar to the Dolan situation. Please Jeff, take a step back, sign the checks, and let the baseball people do their thing.
