Oh, Dammit
Is anyone really surprised? REALLY?
And the countdown clock on Omar’s long overdue termination has begun…
can i get 2 million to play 7 games and bat .211?
I think we all would like that at this economy. But seriously, why did Omar signed in again. It seems Omar luck is starting to dwindle down. Let us see how the rest of the moves pans out. In addition to how Cora is able to recover.
How injured he is? Is this like a rest for a few days or will he be hobbling around for months
Yeah, I was just gonna ask that
I’m not a doctor but play one on Metsblog…but seriously, back injuries/issues with guys in their mid to late 30s is not good.
how’s about guys with hip injuries in their early 40′s?
the clock is tickin’, baby
It’s still 2009, the year of the snakebite. These guys should be nowhere near a baseball field. Stay in bed for another three weeks guys!!!
DITTO!
ugh, c’mon give us a break the season hasn’t even started yet! I hear one of the changes at Citifield was going to be a blue and orange helicopter pad to haul away the injured!
Well, technically it is still 2009 so I am not shocked.
Has there ever been a team that gave out more 2mm contracts than us?
Just seems like that’s the magic number.
And so it begins. Again.
nah, 2009 just hasn’t ended yet.
I’m 48 and I’ve had meniscus surgery on both knees due to injuries from playing ball. I still have good hand-eye coordination and have more power than Cora. Sure, I my range at short or second is limited, but hey, defense is overrated. The important thing is that I have experience. I played Little League, Pony League, Colt League, High School, and American Legion ball. And, because I’m a Met fan, I’ll give Omar and the Wilpon’s a “home team discount.” I will play for just $1M a year for the next two years.
Dude, hold out for that magic 2 million dollar contract. Don’t short change yourself. In fact, can I rep you and take 200K for myself.
I’m 51 yrs old and was a decent outfielder in my day with a very good arm. You play the infield, and I’ll play the outfield for the same contract, 1 mil a yr for 2 yrs. At worst the Mets can count on the 2 of us hustling, sliding and playing heads-up baseball for our money. We’d also be able to show these so-called proffessionals how the game should be played. LOL!
you mean Cora couldn’t wait for the 2010 season to officially start to get hurt?talk about getting prepared for the upcoming season! I too am in my 50′s can still swing the bat pretty well, and can be a solid backup at catcher and first.righty bat with some pop at the lower end of the batting order, heck,I’d take the MLB minimum and a Gary Cohen autographed 8×10 to sign.
