Despite the overwhelming air of negativity Matt mentioned that many have here lately, I fully agree with his assessment of anything can happen with the Mets and to their competition. Let’s try and be positive. And if they do start off poorly, let’s hope Bobby V is imported. Unfortunately, since they are still paying Randolph, I can’t imagine them paying 3 managers at a time to manage a mess.

hahahahaha, that was a good one

I may be a glutton for punishment, but I do love the feeling this time of year, when absolutely anything is possible… can’t wait for the 18th!

I want to take my son to watch one of the team’s practices before the spring training game schedule begins. Can anyone who has done it share any advice on best time of day to go and most interesting things to watch?

Get there early – usually the practices start at 9 or 10. I was there two years ago and we were pretty much allowed free reign behind the fences in the back fields. Earlier in the month is better too as everyone is pretty relaxed, and not yet in playing shape.
My son is a pitcher in high school and he was able to talk to John Maine for about 10 minutes, which was a highlight for him.
