News: Federal Investigators Might Question Carlos Beltran
Carlos Beltran addressed the media today about his talk with the FBI, who had questions about his relationship with Dr. Galea.
According to SNY producer Matt Dunn, Beltran said he met with Federal investigators five days ago. Beltran said he met with Dr. Galea on the recommendation of ’some friends.’
According to Beltran, he met with Galea only once, in regards to the bone bruise in his knee; he never had blood drawn; nor did he have anything injected in to him; and he was never given HGH.
Beltran said he recommended Galea to Jose Reyes, who also met with the FBI last week.
Like Reyes, Beltran said the FBI cleared him, specifically telling him the investigation has nothing to do with him.
He said no player ever wants to be associated with someone who is caught doing something illegal, but he has nothing to worry about.

According to Bailey Stephens MLB.com, Federal Investigators might be interested in speaking to Carlos Beltran regarding Canadian doctor Anthony Galea.
Last Thursday, Jose Reyes spoke to federal agents regarding Galea.
Galea is facing charges in Canada of the distribution of an illegal drug called Actovegin, which, like HGH, is used for healing. He is also facing charges in the United States for the distribution of HGH.
